Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or any equivalent combination of training and experience. One year of experience may substitute for one year of education. Two years of related experience. Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Knowledge of intermediate troubleshooting, client relations, formulating and contributing ideas, and the Information Technology Interface Library (ITIL). Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others. Ability to perform all tasks and job responsibilities safely without injury to self and others in compliance with A&M System and TAMHSC guidelines.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Two years of systems administration experience. Use of computing equipment.

Job Detail:

Provides assistance in resolving hardware and software problems with vendor field engineers, and other employees. Assists with installation and maintenance of both critical and non-critical software. Documents all changes to systems software and develops entries for a system support database. Assists other areas of complex computing environment such as production control, disaster recovery, networking, computer operations, or other operating system. Recommends software and hardware upgrades; learns procedures to develop and may assist with development of software.
Provides technical support, researches problems, and recommends solutions for users. Provide training and development for users and other staff. On-call support on nights and weekends as needed. Other duties as assigned.

Work Hours:

Mon – Fri, 8-5
